Sited on a heavily wooded property in Covington, Georgia, this house design was inspired by Tuscan hillside farmhouses in Italy. The main two-story stone structure with lookout tower, houses the couple’s main public rooms, private offices, and primary bedroom suite. With the idea that over time the original stone structure was added to, the one-story recreation room has a rustic boarded wood exterior and provides a backdrop to an open porch with views overlooking woods and a large creek which feeds the nearby Yellow River.
