A former client approached us after acquiring a lakeside property in Columbus, Georgia. The task was to design an English-inspired residence that provided cozy living spaces for a couple throughout the year while also accommodating a large family, including four adult children, their spouses, and grandchildren, during family gatherings.

Carriage House Studio envisioned a home that would narrate a tale, beginning with an "ancient" stone tower discovered on the site, which spurred the owner's vision for the house. By incorporating exposed stone walls, reclaimed wooden beams, and details characteristic of an English country home, Carriage House conducted thorough research on historical precedents and sourced materials genuine to the era, ensuring the new construction would emanate an age-old charm.
